Re-call for applications (Open Competition) – 12th National ADR Competition for KELSA Trophy, 2026 | Government Law College, Thiruvananthapuram

We are pleased to announce that Government Law College, Thiruvananthapuram, in association with the IQAC and Justice V.R. Krishna Iyer Chair on ADR Systems, is organizing the 12th National ADR Competition for KELSA Trophy, 2026 on 12th, 13th & 28th October, 2026.

Mode of Competition: Hybrid

Please note: Students participating in the exempted competitions will be permitted to appear for the Immediate Supplementary Examinations, ensuring that their batch ranks are not affected.

The competition will consist of Preliminary Rounds conducted online, followed by the Semi-finals and Final Rounds conducted offline. The competition will involve ADR mechanism-based role-play, with the Counsel acting as a Mediator, Conciliator or Arbitrator based on the problem given.

No. of Slots: 1 Team (3 members)

Each team shall comprise 01 Claimant, 01 Respondent and 01 Counsel. The competition consists of three problems, and each team is required to prepare scripts for all three problems. The actual problem statements will be provided by the organisers later on.

Please Note: All students are eligible to participate in the same with or without an Internal Rank in the Ranking Rounds.

Registration Deadline: 7th September, 2026

The competition has an institutional cap of one team per institution and an overall cap of 20 teams, with teams being selected on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Upon qualification, it is important for the students to contact the ADR Board for further approval to take part in the advanced rounds. Any team not complying with the application procedure will not be considered.
